The wondrous grape cure is an age-old natural remedy for the
prevention and cure of a number of ailments.
Do you know that as far back as 1556, grapes were already used to cure
syphilis? Around the 18th to
the 19th century, the Europeans used grapes for blood purification
and detoxification. Dr Lambe, a
dietician from the 19th century even use them for treatment of

Grapes contains valuable minerals - calcium, magnesium, sodium, potassium and phosphorus – which helps to break down toxic chemical deposits that has accumulated in our body as well as providing the stimulant for their elimination. It also contains excellent antioxidants which helps attack harmful free radicals. Additionally, the uniqueness in grapes is its vigorous laxative action which is responsible for most of its health-promoting and healing effects.
When a 100% grape diet is adopted, the chemical and antiseptic contents within the grapes are actually able to break down tissues that are already diseased which subsequently flows through the bloodstream and then excreted. Simultaneously, the natural sugar and protein of the grapes assists in rebuilding healthy new tissues.
When on a 100% grape diet, no other food should be taken except grapes and water for at least 1 week. Grapes can either be eaten with or without the seeds, juiced or blended. Headaches or nausea may be experienced a few days later which is nothing to worry about as these arises due to flushing out of toxins from our system.

1. Grape Salsa Recipe
Ingredients
- 2 cups grapes, cut into quarters
- 30 grams green bell peppers, diced
- 1 tomato, diced
- ½ Japanese cucumber, diced
- ¼ onion, diced
- Juice from 2 limes
- ½ cup tomato sauce
- 1 chilli, chopped
- A bunch of coriander leaves, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
Method
- Simply place all ingredients into a bowl and mix well.
2. Ham Steak with Grape Pan Sauce
Ingredients
- 1 lb cooked ham steak, sliced
- ½ cup orange juice or white wine
- 90 grams seedless grapes, cut into halves
- 3 tablespoons mango chutney, chopped into large pieces
- 2 tablespoons cold butter, cut into big pieces
Method
- Heat up a skillet, reduced to medium heat, place ham steak in skillet and cook for about 2-3 minutes on both sides or until brown. Remove and place ham onto separate warmed plates.
- Remove skillet from the stove, pour orange juice or white wine and be careful to avoid the steam from getting into your face or hands.
- Add in grapes and mango chutney, stir well and place skillet back onto the stove. Turn the heat to low and let it simmer, stirring frequently for about 1 minute or until the mango chutney is melted.
- Add butter and stir until butter is melted. Pour the grape pan sauce over the ham steak and serve hot.
